BC Housing CPD Training
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Training for Residential Builders
Stay up to date with the knowledge and skills required to maintain your BC Housing residential builder licence through Continuing Professional Development (CPD) training.
BC Housing requires licensed residential builders to complete 20 CPD points during each one-year licence term. CPD training helps builders maintain and improve their knowledge of residential construction, building requirements, regulations, and industry practices.
CPD Training Requirements
Residential builders can earn CPD points through eligible formal and informal training:
Formal training: 2 CPD points per hour
Informal training: 1 CPD point per hour
Annual requirement: 20 CPD points per licence term
Carry-forward: Up to 20 additional CPD points may be carried forward to the next licence term, subject to BC Housing requirements.
